  1. Only three oblits?

I say bring it!! Actually, I'm a big fan of the 1k Sons even if most people don't use them. You already know how I feel about bikes even if it is an irrational dislike.

This looks like a fast mean list. Not a copy of anything we saw at BoLScon which is good, but leads me to believe it isn't optimized for the win.

I doubt I'd do well vs the list...only time will tell :)

Yeah, I played a 1000sons list, but not like this at all. It was all rhinos and zerkers, with Kharn thrown in.

I doubt I'd do well against this either, but I think I'd have fun playing. Bring the toughness 5 bikers, and suck on power fists! :)

I meant world eaters zerkers, not 1000sons. They seem to get ignored, so I likes it. (Even tho Tzeench and Khorne would probably be fighting each other rather than fighting together.)

    Jwolf says:

Give the plain CSM Chaos Glory.
Khorne Lord should have Lightning Claws and Meltabombs. Maybe wings, too.
    Thousand Sons need a ride.
Chaos Bikers are not as good as Terminators.

Conceptually I was thinking the 1k Sons would be used to hold nearside objectives and just support fire. Hence the reason for not giving them a ride.
My initial build on the lord had LC, but I actually sacrificed it for modelling reasons. Which is also the primary reason I took the bikers. Mathematically termies are better, but I really just wanted to build and paint up some unique-looking Khorne bikers.

This is another of my issues, I always seem to make sacrifices for the sole purpose of either fluffiness or just plain because I think it would look cool.

Oh and the Chaos Glory thing was an oversight on my part, I had originally meant to do that. Now I need to do some points juggling.

    Jwolf says:

I'm all for taking what you like in an army; I play with Khorne Possessed just because I love the models. Chaos is a much more forgiving army than Eldar, for sure; you can have a really good time playing them and generally make more mistakes without feeling like you're in a Turkish prison movie.

The possessed models really are fantastic, but man the rules for them are terrible. It's a real shame.

Hey so in your experience is bolt of change worth taking or does it make more sense to take doombolt for the matching shooting from the aspiring sorcerer.

And just for the record this army is a departure from my original idea of doing an all Slaanesh force, heavy on noise marines, based on the Angels of Ecstasy, all in bright pink. And either calling them the "Pretty Pink Pwnies" or "Pwnstars"

    Jwolf says:

Doombolt, Bolt of Change, and Warptime are good choices for the Aspiring Sorceror.
Doombolt is good because it makes the unit uniform and it's cheap.
Bolt of Change is great because S8 AP1 shots are nice for killing vehicles and threaten characters at range.
Warptime adds some CC ability to an otherwise dead in CC unit.
