To all the people I used to work for...
So things have gone down hill. I really haven't done anything since Wednesday. I worked 13 hours on Thursday and Friday and I was tired. Saturday, as you know, we got the new puppy, and on Sunday Tamara surprised me with Rock Band 2 for the Wii I got her for xmas. Yesterday, we had our livingroom painted, so crap...
There have been some updates. I recieved my Warriors, while we were down in Houston picking up Finnley, we were like 2 miles from one of the 50-odd GW stores, so I went in and picked up a Dwarf Engineer. So as of now, all I need for my list is:
Bolt Thrower (with 3 crew)
King Alric (with 2 shield Bearers)
Engineer
6 Hammerers
So because I have been working on stuff on the assembly line, it is hard to judge exactly how much I have painted. I think for the end of this weekend, I am going to try to have 10 Quarrelers completed, and have the warrirors assembled.
So tonight the Farsight Enclave suffered a massive defeat against the forces of the Biel-Tan Swordwind. The brave Eldar stemmed the tide of imperial aggression of the destructive T'au Empire. Moments before the battle actually began, the Eldar Farseer in command of the war host commented on how lucky the opening stages of the battle had been for them when the T'au railguns were so effectively neutralized allowing the mechanized Eldar force to sweep across the battlefield unopposed.
Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr rapidly redeployed his forces, leaving the battlefield to the Eldar. O'Shovah's proximity to an Imperial shrine resulted in a rapid response force from the nearby Sororitas chapter of Our Lady of the Sacred Martyred Heart under the command of Cannoness Mary Agnes.
The fervor of the Holy Sisters as they engaged the T'au with blessed bolter, flamer, and melta was too much for the already shell-shocked Farsight, and they were forced to withdraw after sustaining heavy casualties.
(Yes, Karen finally won a game)
I mean someone has got to keep an eye on the dogs so they don't get into anything.
Ok this is totally not 40k related. But I've been a fan of this game series from way back. And this one looks freakin awesome. They appear to have really beefed up the tactical command interface for this incarnation, and the graphics look pretty spectacular. According to D2D it releases today.
Official Game Trailer
Being a "better" Dad, I spent the afternoon playing a large Heroscape battle against the boys. Dustin's 2000pt human army and Jake's 2000pt Elf army took on my 2000pt Ork/Vampire/Werewolf/Demon army (Plus some dragons thrown in for fun...)
I am testing out the posting. It seems easy enough that even I can do it.
